Six Month Check-Up

Weight: 17 lbs 10 oz
Length: 27 1/2 inches

Brogan is now sitting unassisted; reaching for and grabbing anything in sight; making all kinds of new expressions such as "are you kidding?", "are you crazy?", "I really want to figure out how to work this thing", "I want to stick the remote control in my mouth real bad", "that tastes like garbage and I'm not going to swallow it", and many more.


Brogan also has started reaching for you when he wants to be picked up and saying syllables like Ni, Na, Meh, De, Da, Geh.

He loves to shake, whack, and then drop anything. Basically, Brogan is six months old.

I took the video holding the camera wrong again. Oh well. You'll have to just turn your head to watch it!

Sitting Up

One day Brogan could balancing sitting up for at most 5 or 6 seconds. The next he could sit up indefinitely. He doesn't even need to use his hands to support himself. Now that he's figured out sitting up, it is all he wants to do. No more lounging around!

Eating FOOD!

We gave Brogan his first taste of solid food today - bananas and breastmilk. He really liked sitting at the table, he REALLY liked the spoon. But he didn't really like the food. He was invigorated by the new experience, however, so we'll keep offering him tastes until he decides he's ready to chow down.

Sitting Up

Brogan is getting better at sitting up by himself. I'm helping him in this photo, but when he's in the mood he can sit for about 30 seconds unassisted. This photo also illustrates Bo's super toned torso.

Week 22

That meat in the first photo is a pig leg turned prosciutto by Matt's brother Aaron. It was delicious and it was so fun to eat it and catch up with Enrique.
