The Latest Sounds

In addition to a little babbling, Brogan is enjoying all the high pitched noises he's learned to make. There is a sort of soprano type singing sound, a squeal, a screech. This video shows you more of the singing style sound.

More 6 Month Experiences

Brogan is slowing learning to enjoy solid food. Today was the first day he really wanted to eat - opened his mouth eagerly awaiting the next bite of banana and peach mush. He hasn't tried what is inside that squash yet, but he is very familiar with the outside of it.

The last photo is from a recent trip to the Garfield Park Conservatory. We went to see some green plants and colorful flowers and to feel some warmth and humidity - February in Chicago sadly lacks all of these things. We got our fix and Brogan got to touch fern fronds, watch coy fish, and observe lots of toddlers in action.

Bo at Daycare

Brogan started daycare last week. It was hard on all of us, especially Fritz and I, but Brogan is adjusting well and really likes his teachers and classmates (that's what they call them :). Here is a photo one of the teachers sent me of Brogan and his new friend, Maddox.

Six Month Check-Up

Weight: 17 lbs 10 oz
Length: 27 1/2 inches

Brogan is now sitting unassisted; reaching for and grabbing anything in sight; making all kinds of new expressions such as "are you kidding?", "are you crazy?", "I really want to figure out how to work this thing", "I want to stick the remote control in my mouth real bad", "that tastes like garbage and I'm not going to swallow it", and many more.


Brogan also has started reaching for you when he wants to be picked up and saying syllables like Ni, Na, Meh, De, Da, Geh.

He loves to shake, whack, and then drop anything. Basically, Brogan is six months old.
